The Story

From the cricket pitch to the recording booth.

01

The Cricket Years

Sachin Jha was born in Jaipur and grew up across seven countries - Australia, India, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK, and now Canada. Home was wherever the next chapter was. By his early teens he was representing the UAE national team in international age group cricket. At sixteen he moved to England alone, on a scholarship at a private school in Sussex, chasing a professional contract within county cricket.
He got close. Closer than most. Then visa restrictions as a non-British citizen ended it - not a loss on the pitch, but an external variable that he had no control over took away the thing he'd built his entire identity around. It was a brutal blow. He lost himself for a while.
02

Ivey Business School and the corporate leap

What followed was a rebuild. An undergraduate degree at Loughborough University in Banking, Finance, and Management. Then the pandemic, and a move to Canada to complete a Master's in Digital Management at Ivey Business School, Western University. Then management consulting at a Big 4 in downtown Toronto. A respected role on paper, and a private suspicion that he'd traded one external scoreboard for another.
He was good at the job. He didn't love it. And underneath the performance reviews and the client decks, the same question kept surfacing: what does a high-performing, meaningful life actually look like when nobody is keeping score for you?
03

The Exit

In 2024, burnout hit. A major panic attack from the pressure of performing in a role that wasn't his. A month off. A flight to Japan - alone, without a plan, just the need to reset. That trip gave him the clarity he'd been running from. When he came back, he knew exactly what he had to do.
He started Decoding Wisdom on February 7, 2025. In September 2025, he left his corporate job with no safety net, no fallback, and no plan B. He was twenty-six. He'd been living independently since sixteen. He knew how to move without a map, relatively.

Building Decoding Wisdom

The first episode was recorded in his apartment, a solo episode recorded on his iPhone. It was supposed to be a side project. It became work.
Decoding Wisdom is the show Sachin built because the questions he was living - about performance, identity, and what comes after the scoreboards go dark - weren't being asked anywhere else with enough honesty. Formula 1 and IndyCar drivers. WTA professionals. Cricketers. Entrepreneurs. Founders mid-burnout. Stoic readers. Each episode goes somewhere the press scripts never reach.

"High performance, higher meaning - what remains when the applause fades and the grind stops. That's the show. That's also, slowly, his own life."

Today

Today Sachin lives in Toronto, building across three verticals simultaneously - the Decoding Wisdom podcast, his motorsport content covering F1 and IndyCar and other series under @sachinthef1guy, and his personal brand documenting the real journey of building something from scratch in public.
He answers his own email at sachin@decodingwisdom.com. For sponsor inquiries, speaking, or to say hello - that's the address.

Why this show exists

For the people the self-help industry doesn't quite reach.

The bookshelf is full of frameworks and the algorithm is full of motivation. What's missing is what high-performers actually do when the framework breaks. Decoding Wisdom is built for the listener who has already read the books - and still has the question.

The four themes are entry points, not boxes: Sport is what it costs to compete at the highest level. Philosophy is the operating system underneath the work. Creator is the math of building an audience and a business in public. Identity is what you do when the self you built stops being valid.
